Pocket Mirror ~ GoldenerTraum is a remake of Pocket Mirror, a free RPG Maker horror game AstralShift released in 2016. The remake was made in RPG Maker MZ with VisuStella and published by KOMODO on Steam in May 2023, with new art and animated scenes, extra content and a new ending. Versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch are announced for 21 October 2026.

You play a young girl who wakes in a strange and eerie mansion with no memories and nothing but a golden pocket mirror, which she must never let go of. Moving from room to room in top-down pixel art, she explores twisted corridors, a garden, a dance hall and stranger places beyond, meeting characters in gothic and lolita dress who seem to know more about her than she does.

Play is exploration and puzzle-solving in the style of RPG Maker horror games like Ib and The Witch's House: find items, open the way forward and talk to everyone. The art is pretty and the colours rich, but the store warns that the game is not for the nervous, with graphic horror, blood and brutal deaths, and the story turns on loss and painful memories. Your choices lead down different paths to several endings.

It suits players who love story-led RPG Maker horror and gothic fairy tales, and who want something longer and more elaborate than the short free classics.
