Feather Of Praying is a Chinese horror puzzle RPG first released in 2016 and on Steam since 2018. As Qiu Xiaoqi you wake in a mysterious room and, with a white-haired young man, solve its puzzles to learn why you lost consciousness, toward one of seven endings.
About Feather Of Praying (羽翼的祈愿)
Feather Of Praying (羽翼的祈愿) is the first horror puzzle game by the Chinese developer 秋之忧郁, with art by 雨兮. It was first released in 2016, came to Steam in 2018 through Eternal Dream, and was updated in 2024 with new endings and puzzles. The Steam version can be played in Simplified Chinese or English.
The story opens as a fairy tale about a girl and a wish. Qiu Xiaoqi wakes up in a strange room with no idea how she got there. A mysterious young man with white hair is with her, and together they explore rooms full of puzzles and mechanisms, uncovering layer by layer the truth behind her loss of consciousness. A voice offers to fulfil her wish, for a price.
It plays like the Japanese RPG Maker horror games it follows, such as Ib and The Witch's House: top-down pixel rooms, notes and items to examine, puzzles to work out, and anime portraits in the dialogue. The store promises an immersive horror atmosphere where sadness and healing mix with fear, and seven endings depending on your choices.
The maker says there are no jump-scare CG flashes anywhere in the game, so it frightens through mood and story rather than sudden images. It takes about two to four hours. It suits players who liked Ib or The Witch's House and want an emotional story with its horror.
