What frightens A father searches a decaying hospital for his missing daughter, fighting its rotting creatures with scarce ammo and hiding from the Doctor, a one-eyed surgeon with a bone saw who cannot be killed and keeps coming; blood, corpses and assault.

Content: blood, corpses, assault, scary moments, flashing lights.

7th Floor is a first-person survival horror game made by two developers from Hungary. You search a decaying hospital for your missing daughter, Clare, collecting ammo, keys and puzzle parts, fighting the creatures in its halls and hiding from the Doctor, who cannot be destroyed.

About 7th Floor

7th Floor is a story-driven horror game by Vörös Gergely and Dr. Kupi Marcell, two developers from Hungary who made it in their free time after work. It was published by IGT Games on Steam on 31 October 2025.

Your daughter Clare is missing, and the trail leads into a hospital. Finding her is the whole aim, and along the way you learn what happened inside its walls. The halls are dark, tiled and blood-stained, with bodies under sheets and staff who did not get out.

It plays like a first-person take on classic Resident Evil. You search for batteries for your flashlight, ammunition, weapons, healing herbs, keys and puzzle parts, and fit them into a grid inventory. Some of the hospital's creatures have to be fought to get through, so ammo matters. Locks and machines are opened with logic puzzles. Above all there is the Doctor, a gaunt surgeon with a head mirror, an eyepatch and a bone saw, who cannot be shot or destroyed; when he is near, you hide.

The makers suggest playing alone in a dark room with headphones, and warn of flashing lights. It suits players who like Resident Evil 2's stalker and puzzles, in a small indie package.

How to play 7th Floor

  1. Explore the hospital in first person with your flashlight, and keep it supplied with batteries.
  2. Search rooms for ammo, weapons, healing herbs, keys and puzzle parts, and manage them in the grid inventory (Tab).
  3. Fight the creatures that block your way, but spend bullets carefully.
  4. Solve the logic puzzles that open locked doors and machines.
  5. When the Doctor appears, break line of sight and hide; he cannot be killed.

Tips

  • Combine items in the inventory; herbs can be turned into stronger medicine.
  • Learn where lockers and dark corners are before you need them.
  • Read what you collect in the logs tab; it keeps the story of the hospital and Clare's trail.
