Rose Colored Cover was written, drawn and programmed by phonyroni in under a month for the Spooktober Visual Novel Jam 2025, with Gabriela voiced by Taylor Ota and music by TheOnlyWormo. It is a free download for Windows, Mac and Linux at a price you choose. Its page states that no generative AI was used.

Talking with an acquaintance has never come back to bite you, until you wake up tied up in someone's basement. The basement is pink, decorated with hearts, and your captor is Gabriela, a girl in bows and pearls who looks down at you as if you were a mouse she found scampering across her floor. She is a real yandere, but she did not take you for yourself: you are in the way of the one she wants.

The soft pastel art is the cover of the title. The maker warns of kidnapping, stalking, murder, body horror, blood, gore and violence, with flashing images and shaking screens at the worst moments. You are nameless and faceless, and everything turns on how you answer her.

It takes about 30 minutes, with five endings to find; the maker's devlog has a guide, and version 2.1 is the one with all five. It placed 25th overall in the jam. It suits players who like short, tense yandere stories where the danger is one person in the room with you.
