About Dead Secret

Dead Secret is a first-person horror mystery by Robot Invader. It began on Samsung Gear VR in 2015 and came to Steam and Oculus Rift in March 2016, then to PS4 and PlayStation VR in April 2018. It is built for both ways of playing: on PC, Mac and PS4 you can play it on a normal screen, and on SteamVR, Rift and PS VR you can play it in a headset. Steam marks VR as supported, not required.

It is 1965 in rural Kansas. Harris Bullard, a reclusive man with a mysterious past, is dead, and you have come to his farmhouse to work out who killed him. You search a detailed home for clues, uncover secret documents about his history, find items and solve puzzles, and put the evidence together to name the murderer and make headlines.

The house is not empty. A masked murderer is on your trail, and if he corners you the game is over. The professor also left strange devices behind that take you into the deepest recesses of your subconscious, and the maker says nothing in the house is as it seems.

There are five endings to unlock. It suits players who like a slow detective case with a threat in the background, and those who want a story-heavy horror game that works with or without a headset.

How to play Dead Secret

  1. Buy it on Steam for Windows or Mac, on Meta's store for Rift, or on the PlayStation Store for PS4.
  2. Choose to play on a normal screen or in a VR headset; both are supported.
  3. Search Bullard's house, pick up items and read the documents you find.
  4. Solve the puzzles and collect evidence that points to the killer.
  5. When the masked murderer comes for you, run and hide; there is no combat. Then name the killer to reach an ending.
