About Into the Dead 2: Zombie Killer

Into the Dead 2 is a first-person zombie game by PikPok, released on iPhone and Android in 2017 and ported to Nintendo Switch in 2019. It is set in the zombie apocalypse, and your goal is to reach your family.

Each stage is a run forward through the open: oil fields, military bases, campsites and farms. The Dead stagger and sprint toward you, and you steer around them and shoot or stab the ones in your path. Some stages put you on a gun emplacement or on top of a moving vehicle instead. Armoured and running zombies appear as you go further, and you choose weapons and perks for each run.

The story runs over 7 chapters and 60 stages, with multiple endings and hundreds of challenges. Story events add more, including a prequel to Night of the Living Dead and a tie-in with Ghostbusters, and daily and special modes offer prizes. Dogs can come with you as companions, and you can play offline.

On phones it is free to play with in-app purchases and an optional monthly VIP subscription. The Switch version, published by Versus Evil, is a paid release. It suits players who want an action game among the undead more than a slow, quiet horror game.
