What frightens Holly Stonehouse follows the last threads of her family's past through ruined, overgrown buildings, piecing together letters, photographs and reports about her mother and her lost sister. The pale figure with a finger to her lips is still close, and the story keeps blurring what is memory, what is madness and what is really there.

Content: violence and blood (esrb), alcohol and tobacco references (esrb), trauma and mental illness themes.

The final part of the True Fear: Forsaken Souls trilogy by Goblinz. Holly Stonehouse searches ruined buildings for the last pieces of her family's story, solving 72 puzzles while a ghostly presence watches. A long first-person point-and-click horror mystery on PC, PlayStation, Switch and phones.

About True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 3

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 3 is the last chapter of the True Fear trilogy, a first-person point-and-click horror mystery by Goblinz, published by The Digital Lounge. It reached PC and iPhone in April 2025, then PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in early 2026. It follows straight on from Part 2, so play the first two parts before it.

After her childhood home and the Dark Falls Asylum, Holly's search takes her beyond the places she knew and into the last secrets of her family. Letters, photographs, reports and long-hidden evidence fill in a story she has spent her life trying to understand, and this time the danger is closer and more personal.

The play is the series' own: click through scenes, collect and combine items, read every document and solve puzzles. The store counts 119 locations, 237 close-up scenes and 72 puzzles, from letter locks to sliding mechanisms, and you also reconstruct timelines and weigh clues that contradict each other. The PlayStation version lists skippable puzzles among its accessibility features.

The horror is slow and heavy rather than sudden: collapsed, overgrown halls, abandoned workshops, a music box in an empty room, and a pale figure in a broken mirror. The story leans on trauma and memory, and leaves room to wonder whether what Holly sees is supernatural or in her mind.

It is for players who finished the first two parts and want the answers, and for anyone who likes long, puzzle-heavy horror mysteries without combat.

How to play True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 3

Tips

  • Keep an eye on the diary: it collects codes and clues you will need later.
  • If a puzzle stops you, the PlayStation version lets you skip it, and the hint button helps elsewhere.
  • Revisit earlier scenes after you pick up a new item; many objects are used far from where they are found.
  • Hunt for the hidden figurines and the bonus material if you want the story's background.
