Unlikely was made by Nacho Sama for the GMTK Game Jam 2022 in Godot, and updated since, most recently to version 1.2.0 in November 2025. It plays in the browser on itch.io and can be downloaded for Windows, Linux and Android at a price you name; the original jam build is there too. Its maker later made That's not my Neighbor.

The rules are simple. You and the clown roll dice and play cards, and for each die that matches a die on a card, not necessarily in the same position, you score a point. You have a few rerolls and a few cards each round, and a notice on the wall counts the rounds.

The setting does the rest. The table sits in a cramped room whose walls are smeared with blood, the clown across from you grins with a mouth full of teeth and has blood all over his hands and bow tie, and the maker calls him somewhat hungry. Lose, and the light drops away as his hands come up. It is a game of luck as much as anything, and the most common comment is that he cheats.

It is creepy rather than shocking, a short tense gamble with a grotesque host, and suits players who liked Buckshot Roulette or Inscryption's card table.

How to play Unlikely

1. Open the itch.io page and play in the browser, or download it for Windows, Linux or Android at a price you name.
2. Roll your dice; you can reroll a limited number of times.
3. Match your dice to the dice shown on the cards; each matching die scores one point, in any position.
4. Beat the clown's score across the rounds.
5. If you lose, the clown wins, and the game is over.

Tips

• Use your rerolls on the dice that match nothing.
• Look at all the cards before you commit; a match does not have to be in the same position.
• It is largely luck, as players note, so play a few times before deciding he cheats.
