You are lost in an endless maze of yellow rooms and descend level by level, through the Poolrooms and other places from the creepypasta, hiding from the entities that hunt there and saving your scarce items for when they matter.

Backrooms Descent is a 2022 mobile horror game by Pedro Crispim's Sushi Studio, the maker of The Boiled One, and one of the best-rated Backrooms games on phones, with more than five million downloads on Google Play. It takes the internet legend of the Backrooms, an endless maze of empty, humming office rooms you fall into by accident, and makes it a game of finding the way down.

You begin in Level 0, the yellow-carpeted rooms of the original image, and descend deeper level by level: the bright tiled Poolrooms, a party hall with decorations and smiling figures that should not be there, endless chevron-papered corridors, dark halls with hidden stairways. A family waits for you in the real world, and the game's only promise is that the deepest level might be the way out.

The fear comes from being alone and being heard. The maker built it around stealth: entities roam the levels, and when you hear one you hide, because it may already have heard you. Items that help you are scarce, and traps wait in the mazes. Some levels hold secrets and small puzzles.

It suits players who know the Backrooms from videos and want to walk through them on a phone, and anyone who liked Escape the Backrooms but plays alone.
