Carnivore is a fully animated horror comedy by CatTrigger that mixes point-and-click adventure with visual novel choices. You play a sheep working a shift at a restaurant staffed by other animals, where you are also the most delicious thing on the menu. Run, hide or fight to survive and steer the story toward one of its endings.

About Carnivore!

Carnivore is a free, pay-what-you-want horror comedy by CatTrigger, released on itch.io in May 2026 and brought to version 1.0 in June. Its maker describes it as a slasher horror comedy that mixes point-and-click adventure with visual novel elements, and it is fully animated with cartoon cutscenes and a voiced lead.

You play the Sheep, a nervous worker at a restaurant where the staff are animals and some of the staff are also the ingredients. Your shift takes you from foggy fields of tall grass to a cold store full of hanging carcasses and back into the kitchen, meeting cute, mean, stupid and scary coworkers along the way: lovers, rivals and monsters that want your woolly flesh.

The tone swings hard between jokes and horror. A drawing style close to a children's cartoon is splashed with blood, and the deaths are animated in detail. You click to move between scenes, pick up items, and choose what to say; your choices decide your fate and the fate of others, and there are several endings, many ways to die, secrets and achievements to find.

It plays in the browser on its itch.io page, or can be downloaded for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. The game has its own content warnings section. It suits players who like dark cartoon humour with real gore, in the spirit of cute-animals-in-horrible-situations cartoons.

How to play Carnivore!

Click to start and read the content warnings in the menu if you want them.
Click the arrows at the edge of the screen to move between scenes.
Click on objects and characters to look, pick things up and talk.
Choose dialogue options and actions carefully; wrong ones can get the Sheep killed.
Save often with the menu at the bottom, and replay to find the other endings.

Tips

Use quick save before any big choice so a death does not send you back far.
Look for items in the fog; some scenes need something you picked up earlier.
After an ending, try different choices to find the rest and the achievements.
The chapter selection added in later versions lets you jump back to a part of the story.
