What frightens You descend alone into a vast brutalist catacomb where an ancient entity is always watching. Your only weapon fires your own blood, so every shot drains your life, and pale masked figures and bloodied bodies wait in the dark concrete halls.

Content: blood, violence.

CONCRETE BURIAL is a short first-person horror game from Games From The Abyss, published by DreadXP. As a knight of the Crimson Clan you explore an ancient brutalist catacomb with a weapon that uses your own blood as ammunition, avoid the entity that watches you, and complete four trials, all in one sitting of one to two hours.

About CONCRETE BURIAL

CONCRETE BURIAL is a first-person horror game by Games From The Abyss, published by DreadXP and released on Steam on 17 September 2026. You are a Knight of the Crimson Clan sent into the Whispering Crypt, an ancient catacomb of huge concrete halls. Legend says whoever completes its trials and gathers the four Artifacts of Desire will be granted their wish. Nobody has come back alive.

Its one weapon is a gun that consumes your blood. Each shot takes from the same red bar that keeps you alive, and you refill it by absorbing the blood of the fallen. That makes every fight a trade, and many players found that running is often wiser than shooting. The crypt also holds an ancient entity that is always watching, and the store tells you to avoid it.

The game is built to be finished in one sitting of one to two hours. There are four trials, each designed differently, and a speedrun mode opens once you finish. Players mention that there is no save and quit, so leaving the game loses your progress, and that it leans on trial and error, with sudden deaths and pits.

The look is dark stone and concrete in deep blues and reds, with pale masked faces looming out of the gloom and blood sprayed across the walls. Players compare its setting to the endless megastructures of the manga BLAME and to Lunacid. It suits players who want a short, hostile, atmospheric run they can finish in an evening, and who do not mind dying and retrying.

How to play CONCRETE BURIAL

  1. Set aside one to two hours: the game is meant to be played in one sitting, and quitting loses your progress.
  2. Explore the catacomb in first person, looking for the way to each of the four trials.
  3. Shoot only when you need to: every shot spends blood from your health bar.
  4. Absorb blood from fallen bodies to refill your health and ammunition.
  5. Avoid the ancient entity that watches you, and keep moving.
  6. Collect the four Artifacts of Desire and go on to the end.

Tips

  • Treat your blood bar as both health and ammunition and do not empty it in a fight you can run from.
  • Watch your footing; players warn about instant-death pits.
  • Expect to die and retry some sections; learn each room's layout as you go.
  • Finish once to unlock the speedrun mode.
