What frightens Thrown into the Great Well, a moonlit underground pit of disease where the world's unwanted are cast, you explore dark, poisoned halls full of lost souls and grotesque foes, from a bleeding pink spectre to an abyssal demon, with only patience and a blade between you and death.
Content: fantasy violence, blood.
Lunacid is a first-person dark fantasy dungeon crawler from the creator of Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion and Lost in Vivo. Cast into a vast, moonlit well beneath a world choked by poison fog, you fight, explore and search for the sleeping Old One far below.
About Lunacid
Lunacid is made by KIRA, the developer of Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion and Lost in Vivo, and was released on Steam in October 2023. It is a deliberate return to the first-person action RPGs of the 1990s, King's Field and Shadow Tower above all.
Long ago a Great Beast rose from the sea and covered the world in poison fog. Those judged undesirable are thrown into the Great Well, and that is where you wake. You explore dense, interlocking dungeons, sunken halls, flooded caves and forests underground, finding over 75 weapons and 37 spells, and choose to start as a thief, knight, cleric or even a vampire.
Combat is slow and careful: swipe, back off, block, aim for body parts and use elemental weaknesses. The horror is in the place itself, its strange inhabitants and the sense of being far below anything safe, with grim creatures waiting in the dark and secrets hidden behind walls.
It suits players who like atmospheric, old-school dungeon crawling with a horror edge, and fans of KIRA's other games.
