The Closing Shift (閉店事件) is a horror game by Chilla's Art, the two-person Japanese studio behind The Convenience Store and Aka Manto, released on Steam in March 2022. Like The Convenience Store, it puts a young woman on a night job and lets the horror creep into the routine.

You work the last shift of the night at Chilla's Coffee, a city coffee shop. Customers come in and order, and you learn to make and serve each drink and snack while they chat at the counter. When the shop empties, you clean up, take the trash out and close for the night. The makers call it mainly a walking simulator with some puzzle-solving, and it autosaves at each checkpoint.

The fear here is plain and real: the feeling of being watched. Customers mention rumours of suspicious people nearby, and ordinary tasks, especially the ones that take you outside in the dark, start to feel dangerous.
