What frightens An attempt at lucid dreaming traps you in a nightmare: a dark house, a mouldering bed with a skeleton in it, corridors that lead deeper, and shadowy figures that want to take you, while each way out leads into a deeper sleep.

Content: jumpscares, disturbing imagery.

Deep Sleep Trilogy collects scriptwelder's three classic point-and-click horror games, Deep Sleep, Deeper Sleep and The Deepest Sleep. After an attempt at lucid dreaming, you are trapped in a nightmare and must explore, collect items and solve puzzles to find a way out, while shadowy figures follow you.

About Deep Sleep Trilogy

Deep Sleep Trilogy is a collection of three short point-and-click horror games by scriptwelder, a Polish indie developer known for Don't Escape. They were first browser games; the first won Jay Is Games' 2012 Casual Gameplay Design Competition. Armor Games Studios brought them to Steam in October 2019, preserved without new content after the end of Flash.

In Deep Sleep, an attempt at lucid dreaming goes wrong and you find yourself trapped in a dream that quickly turns menacing. In Deeper Sleep you learn that this may be more than a nightmare and that knowing it makes you a target. In The Deepest Sleep safety seems close, but something is on your heels, and you may not be able to trust what you see.

Each game is a classic adventure: you click through rooms drawn in grainy, shadowy pixel art, pick up a screwdriver, a flashlight, batteries and stranger things, and use them to get further. Shadow figures haunt the dream and try to take you, and the later puzzles come with time pressure and the threat of death.

Players praise the creeping dread and the puzzles despite the crude look. It suits anyone who likes short, puzzle-led horror adventures to play with the lights off and headphones on.

How to play Deep Sleep Trilogy
