About The Supper

The Supper is a short adventure game from Octavi Navarro, the maker of Midnight Scenes, Unwelcome and The Librarian, released free on Steam in 2020 under White Blanket Games. It is also on his itch.io page.

Ms. Appleton has always been known for her kindness. She wakes in her tavern's kitchen with the Voice still in her head, and it tells her to serve a very special meal to some distinguished guests. You explore the kitchen and walk down to the docks looking for what the recipe needs, solving small puzzles along the way, and never forgetting the Special Sauce.

The game is drawn in dark pixel art and played with the mouse alone. Its horror is quiet and grim rather than sudden: a pleasant cooking errand that turns out to be something else, with cartoon gore. It is short enough to finish in one sitting and suits players who like small, dark point-and-click stories.

How to play The Supper

1. Get The Supper free on Steam or from Octavi Navarro's itch.io page.
2. Click around Ms. Appleton's kitchen to look at and pick up things you can use.
3. Visit the docks and other places to find the ingredients the recipe calls for.
4. Combine and use items from the slots at the bottom of the screen to solve each puzzle.
5. Prepare and serve the meal the Voice asks for.

Tips

• Click on everything; most puzzles hinge on an object you passed over.
• Play with sound on; the Voice is part of the story.
