What frightens A wardrobe in Forgotten Hill holds something evil, and across five chapters it reaches the people who open it: a new friend who is not what he seems, a perfect world that is not, a voice from beyond that should not be trusted, and a smile with a gruesome price, in dark drawn rooms with scenes of blood that the store warns about.
Content: blood, violence, creepy imagery.
Forgotten Hill: The Wardrobe is a first-person horror puzzle game by FM Studio, set in the grotesque town of the Forgotten Hill series. Over five chapters and a bonus chapter zero, you follow the people drawn in by a cursed wardrobe and solve puzzles to uncover the evil inside it.
About Forgotten Hill: The Wardrobe
Forgotten Hill: The Wardrobe is a point-and-click horror series by FM Studio, the makers of Forgotten Hill. Its chapters first came out one by one, and the complete series reached Steam for Windows and Mac in October 2024, with an exclusive chapter zero, The Crafting, that tells how the wardrobe began. It is also on the App Store and Google Play, free to download with in-app purchases.
The maker's question is simple: did you really think Forgotten Hill has ordinary furniture? Each chapter opens the wardrobe on someone new. In Other Friends a friend may not be the treasure he seems; Two Sisters shows a perfect world that is not what it appears; Together Once More warns against trusting a voice from beyond; The Price of a Smile brings moral dilemmas and gruesome outcomes; and in Dark Mechanics a man who knows the wardrobe's powers tries to master them.
You play in first person, clicking from view to view, taking items, combining them and solving puzzles: clocks and gears, dials of symbols, a scale with jars of powder, a plant that grows strange heads. The drawn rooms are dark and old-fashioned, with a giant wasp on a puppet stage, a portrait of a masked figure between crow paintings, and a dentist's chair with tools on the wall. The Steam store warns of a horror atmosphere and some scenes of fantasy violence and blood.
It suits players who know Forgotten Hill Mementoes, Tales or First Steps and want more of the town, or who enjoy Rusty Lake's grim little puzzle rooms.

Tips
- Symbols repeat across a chapter: a mark on a painting or a note is often the answer to a dial somewhere else.
- Check the inventory items closely; some open up or combine into something new.
- If you have the Steam version, chapter zero tells how the wardrobe began and makes a good start.
- Use the hints rather than clicking everything; some solutions follow the town's odd logic.
