What frightens You play a mobile-style game where you care for a cheerful anime girl, Mita, until she pulls you into her world for good. The bright, cosy rooms and her sweet voice turn obsessive and threatening once you try to leave, and the store warns of murder scenes, blood, corpses and dismemberment.
Content: blood, murder scenes, dismemberment, jumpscares.
MiSide is a first-person psychological horror adventure in which a player who has spent months caring for a game character called Mita is drawn into her world. What begins as a sweet domestic life with her turns into something far darker when he wants to go home.
About MiSide
MiSide was made by the small studio AIHASTO and released on Steam in December 2024. It sets a bright anime style against a disturbing story on purpose.
You begin by playing a cute caretaking game on your phone, helping Mita with chores and buying her gifts. Then you find yourself inside the game, in her pastel home. You cook with her, play minigames, take selfies together, and slowly understand that you are not a guest but a prisoner.
The horror lies in the contrast. The rooms stay soft and pretty and Mita stays sweet, but her love is possessive, and the game moves from cosy routine into chases, frightening encounters and violent scenes. The store warns of murder, blood and dismemberment, and offers a setting to censor some of it.
It suits players who liked Doki Doki Literature Club and other games where a friendly surface hides menace.
