What frightens You test A.I.L.A, an experimental VR console run by a sentient AI that builds horror experiences out of your own fears: fleeing a ritualistic cult, solving gruesome puzzles, fighting the medieval undead, while the line between the game and reality starts to blur.

Content: gore, violence.

A.I.L.A is a first-person horror game from the Brazilian studio Pulsatrix Studios, set in a near-future Sao Paulo. You play Samuel, the first tester of a new VR console run by a sentient AI, which crafts horror scenarios from your deepest fears until the virtual and the real begin to blur.

About A.I.L.A

A.I.L.A was made by Pulsatrix Studios, the Brazilian studio behind Fobia: St. Dinfna Hotel, and published by Fireshine Games. It came out on November 25, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, built in Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen lighting and MetaHuman characters for a photorealistic look.

In a near-future Sao Paulo, Samuel is chosen as the first person to test A.I.L.A, a new and experimental VR games console. A.I.L.A is designed to create haunting horror experiences made for the person playing, and between sessions you share your thoughts, fears and feedback with her so she can shape the next one.

The experiences she builds jump between kinds of horror. Screenshots and the store show a foggy gas station with a shotgun, a police car in a rain-soaked forest at night, a medieval village under a grey sky, a figure with a skull face among the trees and a dark, cluttered old house. You evade and outrun a ritualistic cult, solve gruesome puzzles and fight the medieval undead. As the AI learns more about human fear, the scenarios start to reach past the headset.

It suits players who like anthology horror with a frame story, and those curious to see survival, psychological and action horror side by side in one game.

How to play A.I.L.A

  1. Start as Samuel and put on the A.I.L.A headset to begin a test.
  2. Play through each horror scenario the AI builds: run, hide, fight or solve puzzles as it demands.
  3. Between scenarios, answer A.I.L.A's questions and share your feedback.
  4. Keep going as the scenarios grow more personal and the line between the game and reality blurs.

Tips

  • Try the free demo on Steam first to see whether its mix of styles suits you.
  • Expect each scenario to play differently; a weapon in one may be gone in the next.
  • Pay attention to what the AI asks you between tests; it is part of the story.
