You explore it, find your trapped classmates and uncover what happened to Misao, where one wrong choice can kill you.

About Misao - 2024 HD Remaster

Misao began in 2011 as a free horror adventure by sen. PLAYISM released Misao: Definitive Edition on Steam in 2017, and in August 2024 replaced it with the 2024 HD Remaster as a free update, with redone graphics, interface and presentation for HD resolutions and new content. The 2017 Definitive Edition can still be chosen when you launch the game.

Misao was quiet, plain and reclusive, and often the target of bullies. Three months ago she suddenly vanished, and since then unnatural events have plagued the campus. Rumour says it is Misao's curse, and when the school transforms into a terrifying, otherworldly place, the rumour proves true.

You explore the twisted school from a top-down view, room by room: the art room, a laboratory, an underground cave and more. Your classmates are trapped too and on the run, and as you find them they may reveal their own connections to Misao. Some of the Otherworld's residents may help you. Violent spirits and deathtraps are everywhere, and even a single wrong choice can lead to death, so you have to evade them carefully to find a way out or put an end to the haunting.

The remaster adds Crimson Eyes, which highlights places you have already investigated and helps you spot Li'l Miscreant, an odd creature hidden around the Otherworld. It suits players who like RPG Maker-style horror adventures such as Mad Father and Corpse Party: exploration, sudden deaths and a mystery about what happened to a lost classmate.
