Petal is a free browser game by 13-23, made in Godot and Blender and released on itch.io in 2026. Its maker was in the middle of making it when their keyboard broke, so they simplified the project and finished it using only the mouse and the Windows on-screen keyboard. It has English, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese text.

Ana is a little white rabbit in a red dress. Her mother asks her for a simple favour: go to the local flower shop and pick up some fertilizer. The town around her looks like a toy, with rounded houses, swings and flower beds, all drawn in chunky low-poly 3D under scanlines like an old console game.

Inside the shop, something is wrong, and the page asks you to help Ana survive. The maker tags it Stealth: you keep out of sight, hide in a box when you need to, and move on when it is safe. Players describe the contrast between the playful style and the sinister story underneath, and call the atmosphere creepy and tense.

It is very short, a few minutes by the page's average session. There is no download for now; the maker says the code is being rebuilt for a sequel. It suits players who like cute horror where the sweetness is part of the unease.

How to play Petal

1. Press Run game on the itch.io page to play in the browser.
2. Move Ana with the arrow keys and press Space to interact.
3. Head to the flower shop to fetch the fertilizer.
4. When something is wrong, stay out of sight; hide in a box and press X to come out when it is safe.
5. Press Tab for the menu, and F1 or 1 to hide the mouse cursor.

Tips

• Use fullscreen in the browser for a better view.
• If the objective is unclear, look around and talk to everyone; one player found the objectives a little confusing.
• Do not rush out of a hiding place.
• It only takes a few minutes, so play it in one sitting.
