Silly Polly Beast is a 2025 action horror game made by Anji and published by Top Hat Studios. Polly, a girl who never has any luck, escapes a nightmarish orphanage only to find herself trapped in the underworld. To win her freedom she has to study the nature of the beast she is bound to.

The game moves between exploring and fighting. Battles switch between side-on and top-down views, and they are fast: you shoot and use spells against creatures that come out of the dark. Each forbidden spell Polly learns makes her more dangerous. The underworld city is covered in deadly fog, and her fog bracelet glows red when it is close. Some of the beings she meets are not hostile, but none are on her side.

The look is stylized, with an anime-style heroine in dim, ruined places: graveyards by lamplight, flooded halls, kitchens where something waits in the shadows. The store calls its monsters terrifying, and the game carries warnings for violence, blood and gore.

It suits players who want horror with an action game's pace rather than a slow game about hiding. Players who liked the side-on mansion of Withering Rooms or the gory runs of Dead Estate will find something close here.

How to play Silly Polly Beast

Start the story: Polly flees the orphanage and arrives in the underworld.
