What frightens You climb an abandoned 1950s resort tower of hotels, a waterpark, a clown casino and a carnival forest, where the grinning fairy-tale mascots have turned violent, toothy telephones snap in dark corridors, and the carnival rides might need some screws tightened.

Content: gore, violence.

Twisted Tower is a first-person horror shooter from Atmos Games, published by 3D Realms. You climb an abandoned 1950s resort to save the love of your life, fighting corrupted fairy-tale mascots with a toy arsenal of whack-a-mole mallets, rubber-band pistols and ray guns through five levels.

About Twisted Tower

Twisted Tower was made by Atmos Games and released on Steam in August 2026 by 3D Realms. Its makers compare its abandoned 1950s resort to BioShock and Disney World, and its Steam page warns of gore and blood splatter from shooting and killing monstrous creatures.

You arrive by boat in the rain at the Twisted Tower resort and climb its five levels, the hotel, the waterpark, the clown casino, the carnival forest and the space station, to save the love of your life. The resort's silly mascots, cartoon bears and fairy-tale characters, have been corrupted and come at you, and stranger things wait in its corridors, such as telephones with mouths full of teeth.

The fighting is punchy and bloody, with a toyish arsenal you upgrade as you go: a whack-a-mole mallet, a rubber-band pistol, a dart-throwing Tommy gun, a bubblegum chain-gun, a sniper slingshot and a skull-popping ray gun. Toys you collect let you jump, dash and grapple higher, its makers promise a mysterious and emotional story, and different paths make each playthrough differ.

It is more action than dread. It suits players who like mascot horror and want to fight back.

How to play Twisted Tower

  1. Buy it on Steam and run it on Windows.
  2. Climb the tower level by level, from the hotel to the space station.
  3. Fight the corrupted mascots with your toy weapons and upgrade them as you go.
  4. Collect toys that let you jump, dash and grapple to new paths.
  5. Try different paths on later playthroughs.
