What frightens Your crew memorises realistic, liminal offices and hotel floors, then watches for what changes: small shifts at first, then disturbing anomalies and jumpscares, such as a giant man crouched in a corridor. You must decide together whether the timeline is safe, and one wrong call sends you back to the start.
Content: jumpscares.
Anomaly Company is a first-person anomaly-spotting horror game for one to four players by solo developer Kekdot. Your hazmat-suited crew memorises offices and hotel floors, watches for subtle changes and disturbing anomalies, and decides whether each timeline is safe. One wrong call and you start over.
About Anomaly Company
Anomaly Company is the work of one developer, Kekdot, who also made The Anomaly Project. It came out on Steam in September 2026 and can be played alone or with up to four players online, with voice and text chat.
You are a crew member of the Anomaly Company, sent in hazmat gear to assess reality. Each level starts in a stable state. You memorise the place, then watch as it changes: some changes are subtle, some are disturbing anomalies and some are outright jumpscares. When you think you know, you decide whether the timeline is safe or must be purged. Get it wrong and you are forced to start over.
The maps are realistic, liminal spaces: white office corridors under flat ceiling lights, cubicles with old computers, carpeted hotel halls and rooms. The anomalies run from a moved object to a skeleton at a desk or a giant man crouched in a hallway, and the maker promises absurd anomalies alongside the frightening ones.
It plays like The Exit 8 or I'm on Observation Duty, but with friends: much of the fun and tension is in arguing over what you saw. It suits groups who want a lighter, social horror night more than a slow solo scare. The store lists several unique maps, and players note the count is still small.
How to play Anomaly Company
- Start solo or invite up to three friends to an online session.
- At the start of each level, walk the area and memorise how everything looks.
- Watch for changes as the level goes on, from small details to disturbing anomalies.
- Share what you see with your crew over voice or text chat.
- Decide together whether the timeline is safe or must be purged; a wrong call sends you back to the start.

Tips
- Split the map between players so each person memorises a few rooms in detail.
- Count objects on desks and shelves; many anomalies are things added, moved or removed.
- Do not rush the call: one wrong decision restarts the run.
- Watch clocks and screens too, not just furniture.
