Ghostscape 2 - The Cabin was released on Newgrounds by Psionic (psionic3d) on 30 October 2009, a year after the first Ghostscape. Newgrounds still runs it in the browser for free.

This time the investigation moves from a haunted house to a creepy old cabin in the woods, past signs reading No Trespassing and Keep Out. You gather evidence about the cabin and its aged inhabitant: you take photographs, use a metal detector, and find and read his diaries to work out what has been going on there and who the old man really is.

Like the first game it is played through still first-person scenes, and the dread comes from what you uncover rather than from chases. The maker links a walkthrough from the game's page for anyone who gets stuck.

Play Ghostscape first if you like the idea; this one suits players who enjoy slow investigation and a story told through found diaries.
