What frightens It is spooky rather than frightening: on Halloween night a mummy, a vampire, a flaming skeleton and other cartoon-bright monsters invade your hometown, and you search busy Halloween scenes for hidden objects and solve puzzles to stop them; the App Store rates it 9+ for infrequent, mild horror themes.

Content: mild cartoon violence.

Halloween Chronicles: Monsters is a hidden-object adventure for iPhone, iPad and Android by Domini Games. You come home to spend Halloween with your father, and monsters invade the town; you search scenes, solve puzzles and uncover a family secret to stop them. It is a spooky, family-friendly Halloween game, not a frightening one.

About Halloween Chronicles: Monsters

Halloween Chronicles: Monsters is the mobile edition of Halloween Chronicles: Monsters Among Us, the first game in Domini Games' Halloween Chronicles series of hidden-object adventures. It came to the App Store in June 2019 and is also on Google Play, in a version with a free trial and an in-app purchase for the full game and in a separate free-to-play edition.

It is Halloween, and your father has invited you back to your hometown to celebrate, trick-or-treat and spend time together. Then eerie creatures invade the house and the town of Riverstown. To stop them you dig into your family's secret history. A bonus chapter sends you after two ghost siblings who stole your family's magic camera.

Play is classic hidden-object adventure: tap to explore drawn scenes, find lists of items hidden in cluttered Halloween rooms, use what you collect to move on and solve puzzles and mini-games. A strategy guide is built in for when you are stuck, and there are photos, interviews and film rolls to collect.

The monsters are mummies, vampires, skeletons and fish-men drawn in saturated cartoon colours, and the App Store rates it 9+ for infrequent, mild horror and fantasy violence. It is a seasonal game for players who like hidden-object puzzles, not a horror game.
