Halloween Chronicles 2: Masks is a hidden-object adventure by Domini Games for iPhone, iPad, Android and PC. Masks from your uncle's Halloween shop were made by the Boogeyman, and one has turned your father into a monster; you search scenes and solve puzzles to stop the Boogeyman's return. It is a spooky, family-friendly Halloween game, not a frightening one.

About Halloween Chronicles 2: Masks

Halloween Chronicles 2: Masks is the mobile edition of Halloween Chronicles: Evil Behind a Mask, the second game in Domini Games' Halloween Chronicles series. It came out on PC in October 2019, where Steam sells it as a Collector's Edition published by BFG Entertainment, and on iPhone, iPad and Android in late 2019. On Android there is also a separate free-to-play edition.

It is Halloween, and you are to celebrate with your father and your Uncle Oswald, who runs a shop of Halloween goods. But Oswald's new masks were made by the Boogeyman, the Lord of Horrors, and when your father puts one on he turns into a monster. The masks are part of the Boogeyman's plan to return to the human world, and it falls to you to stop him and free your family.

Play is classic hidden-object adventure: explore drawn scenes, find listed items hidden in cluttered rooms, use what you collect and solve puzzles and mini-games, some with easy and hard modes, with a strategy guide built in. A bonus chapter lets you play an ancestor and learn the history of Pandora's Box, and you can collect morphing figurines and pages of a Book of Monsters.

The settings are a neon fairground, a costume shop and a funhouse full of skeletons, witches and clowns, in saturated cartoon colours, and the App Store rates it 9+ for infrequent, mild horror themes. It is a seasonal game for hidden-object fans, not a horror game.
