What frightens During a storm Tabby is trapped again in a house that changes around her and wants her and her family dead: shadowy long-limbed figures reach out of the walls, a skeletal dog waits in the dark, a man with a knife stands on the stairs, and every wrong move ends in a gruesome, cartoon-gory death before the time loop starts again.
Content: gore, graphic deaths, violence against family members.
House 2 is the 2026 sequel to Bark Bark Games' House. As Tabby, trapped again in a house that changes and reacts to what she does, you try items, race a deadly time loop and decide whether to save or slay your family, with gruesome storybook-style deaths and several endings.
About House 2
House 2 is a 2D horror adventure by Bark Bark Games, published by Glowstick Entertainment and released on Steam in August 2026. It follows the 2020 game House. As a terrible storm rages, Tabby finds herself once more trapped in what the game calls a never-ending nightmare, and the house around her is set on killing her and the people she lives with.
The house is not a fixed map. Its rooms change and react to your actions in real time, so what is safe on one pass can be deadly on the next. You pick up items and try them on what you find, and the game is built around a time loop: you race the clock to escape it, and each failure sends you back to try again with what you have learned.
What frightens is the mix of a cosy, picture-book look and what it hides. The family kitchen and the dinner table are drawn in soft colours, and then a black, long-limbed thing drags someone across the tiles, a skeletal dog lies over a sleeping girl, or a man with a knife waits by the grandfather clock. Deaths are elaborate and gory in a cartoon way, and the store page warns that they are shown often.
The play is non-linear, with multiple endings, and the game asks you to save or slay your family, then hints that the choice may not be yours. There is also a small console in the house, the BarkStation, with retro games to play.
It suits players who liked the first House, The Witch's House or other short trial-and-error horror where dying is part of learning the place. Its art is hand-drawn rather than pixel art, but the cruel sense of humour is the same.
How to play House 2
- Buy and install House 2 from its Steam page; a gamepad is recommended and fully supported.
- Explore the house as Tabby and look at what changes from room to room.
- Pick up items and try them on the house and its people to see what keeps you alive.
- When you die or the loop resets, use what you learned to take a different route.
- Make your choices about the family and play again to find the other endings.

Tips
- Treat each death as information: note what killed you and when, then change one thing on the next loop.
- Watch the clock; the time loop punishes wandering, so plan where you want to be before time runs out.
- Try items in unusual places, since the house reacts to what you do.
- Different choices about your family lead to different endings, so do not stop after the first one.
