Mr. Hopp's Playhouse
Rate itHide from the toy rabbit you were always afraid of.
What frightens: Ruby's toy rabbit, the one she has always been afraid of, is gone from its corner; it now roams the dark house, and one knocked toy can bring it to you while you creep from room to room.
Content: a child in danger, sudden appearances of the stalker.

A free 2D pixel-art horror game from Moonbit. Ruby is scared of Mr. Hopp, the handmade rabbit her late grandmother gave her, and one night he is gone from his corner. You lead her through the dark house on her tasks, hiding when he comes and stepping around the toys that would make noise.
About Mr. Hopp's Playhouse
Mr. Hopp's Playhouse is a free horror game by the small studio Moonbit, released on Steam in November 2019 and the first in a series. It is a 2D side-scroller drawn in pixel art. You play Ruby, a young girl afraid of Mr. Hopp, a handmade toy rabbit given to her by her late grandmother. Her parents tell her not to be silly. Then one night the rabbit is not on his stool any more.
You move Ruby through the house one room at a time: the kitchen, the hallways, her parents' room, the dark spaces in between. A task line tells you where to go next. The screen shows whether Ruby is hidden or visible, and a stamina bar limits how long she can run.
The house is scattered with Ruby's toys. Touch one and the sound can draw Mr. Hopp straight to you, so you jump over them and take your time. When he appears in a doorway, you hide and wait. The store page sums it up as a dangerous game of hide-and-seek.
The fear is simple and childlike: a toy you never liked, a dark house at night, the sound you did not mean to make. It suits anyone who wants a short, tense horror game for an evening, and it costs nothing on Steam; on itch.io you can name your own price. The story has more than one ending.
How to play Mr. Hopp's Playhouse
- Move Ruby left and right through the house and follow the task shown at the top of the screen.
- Jump over the toys on the floor; touching them makes noise that can draw Mr. Hopp.
- Watch the status line: stay hidden where you can and keep an eye on your stamina before running.
- When Mr. Hopp appears, hide and wait for him to go, then carry on to the next room.
