Paranormal Night Shift is an observation and spot-the-anomaly game set in a haunted house in 1980s London. As one of two ghost hunters, you flick between cameras around a family's home, report anything that changes to your partner Gary, and try to last three nights while a mystery comes out bit by bit.

About Paranormal Night Shift

Paranormal Night Shift is an observation horror game by Wheeler Whale Games, released on Steam for Windows in January 2025. It belongs to the spot-the-anomaly kind of horror game: you watch ordinary rooms and look for what has changed.

You and your partner Gary are ghost hunters. A desperate call from a family in distress brings you to a house in a residential part of North London, where strange things are disrupting their lives. Your job is to keep a close eye on the cameras and report each anomaly to Gary.

The cameras cover the house room by room: a living room with a fireplace, a children's bedroom with film posters on the walls, another bedroom, and an attic under a purple light. Each feed shows the time in the corner and lets you step to the previous or next camera. Between nights there are story scenes, such as the two hunters talking over a meal. There are three nights in all, which the store says take three to five hours depending on your powers of observation.

The store warns that the house is truly haunted and that if you miss too many anomalies you might not survive the night. Its scares come from small, quiet changes and from the occasional ghost in plain view. Steam players rate it Very Positive. It suits fans of I'm on Observation Duty and other camera-watching anomaly games who want a ghost story with characters around it.

How to play Paranormal Night Shift

Start the first night and look through each camera to learn what every room normally looks like.
Switch between cameras with the previous and next buttons and watch for anything that moves, appears or vanishes.
When you spot an anomaly, report it to Gary.
Do not let too many anomalies go unreported, or the night may end for you.
Watch the story scenes between nights, and play all three nights to uncover the mystery.

Tips

Spend the quiet first minutes memorising each room; it makes changes much easier to see later.
Cycle through every camera regularly rather than staring at one.
Note the small things: chairs, pictures, toys and lamps are easy to overlook.
