On PC: one of the PC horror games.

What frightens Alone through the night with a bank of live security cameras, you hunt for what has changed in each room: creepy figures, distorted objects, things that should not be there. You must keep your sanity through the night, and a story behind the footage slowly comes out.

Content: blood, violence.

Para Eyes is a spot-the-difference horror game by Shawno Studios. You watch live security cameras through the night, report every anomaly you find and try to keep your sanity, while a story about what is going on unfolds across its maps.

About Para Eyes

Para Eyes is the work of Shawno Studios. It entered Early Access on Steam in October 2022 and was released in full on 9 July 2025, for Windows.

You are responsible for watching a set of live security cameras. Each feed shows an ordinary place: a family's kitchen and bedrooms, a school's music room and locker room, a lakeshore and a campsite at night. Over the hours things change. An object moves, something appears that was not there, a figure stands where the room was empty. You must find each change, report it through the camera system, and survive the night. A sanity meter shows how well you are holding up.

Between nights you collect rewards and spend the game's currency on research, unlocking new maps, more anomalies and items. Higher difficulties add more cameras and make anomalies appear faster, and a shuffle mode builds a random set of cameras. Its maker promises a story underneath, with secrets that appear and a truth that comes out as you play.

It plays in the same vein as I'm on Observation Duty: slow, careful watching broken by the jolt of noticing that something is wrong. The store warns of blood and violence. It suits players who like memory tests with a creeping sense of dread.

How to play Para Eyes

  1. Pick a map and a difficulty, or play shuffle mode for a random set of cameras.
  2. Flip through every camera early on and memorise how each room looks.
  3. When something has changed, open the report system and report the anomaly in the right room.
  4. Keep an eye on your sanity meter and survive until morning.
  5. Spend your rewards on research to unlock new maps, anomalies and items.

Tips

  • Cycle through the cameras in a fixed order so no room goes unchecked for long.
  • Small changes count: look at shelves, doors and the edges of the picture, not only the middle.
  • Start on an easy difficulty to learn the maps before more cameras are added.
