What frightens You walk alone through an abandoned toy factory where the staff vanished years ago. The giant blue mascot Huggy Wuggy, first seen standing still in the lobby, disappears from his spot and later chases you through narrow vents with a mouth full of teeth.

Content: jumpscares, blood, chase scenes.

A first-person horror puzzle game set in the abandoned Playtime Co. toy factory. With the GrabPack, a backpack with two stretching hands, you pull levers, carry power across circuits and open the way deeper, until the factory's mascot Huggy Wuggy comes after you.

About Poppy Playtime

Poppy Playtime is a horror puzzle adventure by Mob Entertainment, first released on Steam in October 2021. The Steam game is free and includes Chapter 1; later chapters are sold as add-ons. Chapter 1 has also been released on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.

Years after every worker at the toy maker Playtime Co. disappeared, you return to its factory after receiving a strange package. The lobby is still decorated with bright colours and cheerful posters, and a towering statue of Huggy Wuggy, the company's blue mascot, stands in the middle of it.

Your tool is the GrabPack, a backpack with two hands on long steel wires. You use it to grab objects from a distance, pull open doors, and carry electricity from one socket to another to power machines. Most of the chapter is puzzles of this kind, solved in empty halls, storerooms and on conveyor belts.

The fear builds from small things: a mascot who is not where he was, a sound in the vents, the friendly toys on the walls. When the chase comes it is fast and close. The chapter is short and suits players who want a quick, cartoonish scare, and it is the start of a longer series about the factory.

How to play Poppy Playtime

  1. Start Chapter 1 and explore the factory lobby to find the first door code and the GrabPack.
  2. Use the left and right hands of the GrabPack to grab objects, pull levers and move power between sockets.
  3. Solve each room's puzzle to open the way deeper into the factory, collecting tapes as you go.
  4. When something chases you, keep running and do not stop to look back.

Tips

  • Read the posters and notes; many hold codes and hints.
  • Look for the VHS tapes, which fill in the factory's story.
  • Plug a powered hand into each socket you see; most puzzles hinge on carrying power.
  • In the chase, keep moving forward and use the straight sections to pull away.
