What frightens You were supposed to fix a few solar panels on a station above Mars; then something hit the hull, your crewmate Ben is gone, the station bleeds through its vents, and red-lit corridors fill with growths of flesh while the only voice left is a machine that thinks it can save you. Players describe it as creepy and disgusting, with a knock at the door that stopped some of them cold.

Content: gore, body horror.

APEX-07 is a short, low-poly sci-fi horror game by notsospecialgames, played free in the browser. Alone on a space station above Mars after something hits the hull and takes your crewmate, you explore flickering corridors and restore the reactor while the station bleeds and its machine tries to save you.

About APEX-07

APEX-07 is a short first-person horror game by notsospecialgames, made in Godot for Pizza Doggy's Horror Jam 3 and released on itch.io in November 2025. It plays in the browser, with Windows and Linux downloads, in about 15 to 20 minutes, and the maker states that no generative AI was used. It was inspired by a short story by ChristianWallis about an astronaut whose dead partner still shows stable life signs.

You were supposed to fix a few solar panels. Ben was supposed to make the coffee. Then something hit the hull. Now Ben is gone, the station is bleeding through the vents, and the only voice left belongs to a machine that thinks it can save you.

The maker describes it as being about isolation, malfunction and faith in broken systems. You explore flickering, red-lit corridors in chunky PSX-style 3D, restore the reactor and try to save yourself, while the station changes around you: something grows over the walls, and something knocks at the door.

Players call it creepy and disgusting in the best way, and single out its sound design. It is translated into Spanish, Korean, Turkish and Ukrainian. It suits players who like short space-station horror such as 10-103 or Mouthwashing.
