DOCTOR VISCERA is a first-person survival horror game in a PSX style. You wake inside the abandoned GrimmHaus Asylum and have five nights to find a way out, solving puzzles and managing a small inventory while the Doctor and his experiments hunt you.

About DOCTOR VISCERA

DOCTOR VISCERA is the work of Liminal Road, a small Brazilian studio, published by Nuntius Games and Vsoo Games. It came out for Windows on Steam and itch.io on 29 October 2025, and a free Definitive Edition update followed on Steam in June 2026, adding a new enemy, the Nurse, and a new area with a tram system.

You seek shelter in GrimmHaus Asylum and wake up alone, trapped inside. The building is a castle-like hospital of tiled wards, cellars and overgrown courtyards, and it belongs to Dr. Viscera, a grinning surgeon in green goggles who treats whoever wanders in as his next experiment. You have five nights to get out.

Each night you explore a little further: find key items and tools such as a crowbar, solve puzzles, open blocked passages and shortcuts. Inventory space is small, so you leave important items in safe places. The Doctor hunts you by sound and can follow you into tight spaces; you hide in lockers, keep quiet and throw things to get away, rather than fight. The look is deliberately low-poly, in the style of PlayStation horror.

Players often compare it to Granny for its cat-and-mouse escape in one building, and critics to classic survival horror. It suits players who like learning a map under pressure and short bursts of being chased.

How to play DOCTOR VISCERA

Explore the asylum in first person and learn where its rooms, lockers and safe spots are.
Pick up key items and tools, and keep the ones you do not need yet in a safe place, since your inventory is small.
Solve the puzzles that unlock new areas and shortcuts.
When Dr. Viscera comes, move quietly, hide in a locker or break his line of sight.
Survive the five nights and find a way out of GrimmHaus.
