Endoparasitic 2 is a top-down survival horror game by Miziziziz and the sequel to Endoparasitic. Missing three limbs and infected with a parasite, you drag yourself through an infested arcship, load every bullet by hand and craft vaccines and ammunition to stay alive.

About Endoparasitic 2

Endoparasitic 2 is the continuation of Endoparasitic, the tactical survival horror game by Miziziziz. It was published by Deep Root Interactive and came out on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux on 1 October 2024; it is also sold on itch.io.

Once again you have three limbs ripped off and a deadly parasite inside you. This time you must drag yourself through the hallways of an infested arcship and escape to civilization. Everything is done with the mouse and by hand: you pull yourself along the floor, aim, and load your guns one bullet at a time, so every fight means juggling movement and firing and learning the rooms so you are not swarmed.

The sequel adds more to manage. You gather materials to craft ammunition for your guns and to synthesise vaccines that push the parasite back, and you juggle a limited inventory. The store lists a story with characters, a range of mutated monsters, boss fights and nonlinear exploration. The art is stark and minimal, grey rooms lit by small pools of light, with blood standing out in red; the makers warn of a lot of gore and violence in a low-resolution style.

It suits players who liked the first game, and anyone who finds fear in being slow, fragile and short of bullets rather than in jump scares.

How to play Endoparasitic 2

Use the mouse to drag yourself across the floor; there is no keyboard movement.
Load your gun by hand, one bullet at a time, before you push into a new room.
Aim and fire at the creatures, backing into a doorway so they cannot surround you.
Gather materials and craft ammunition and vaccines from them.
Inject vaccines when the parasite climbs close to your brain, and keep moving toward escape.

Tips

Reload in every quiet moment; loading under attack wastes the seconds you need.
Learn a room's layout before you fight in it, so you know where to retreat.
Spend materials on vaccines before the parasite meter gets critical, not after.
If you have not played the first game, its mouse controls take a little practice here too; the clumsiness is deliberate.
