What frightens Sent alone to a fog-bound house in the woods to photograph it for a listing, you work through a checklist room by room with a digital camera, waiting as each picture slowly loads, until the house starts to show you things it should not and its quiet turns threatening.

Content: flashing lights, death and accidents, some jumpscares.

A short first-person horror game in PSX/PS2 style. As a real estate agent you photograph a seemingly normal house for sale, room by room, until your camera and the house begin to reveal unnerving secrets, with multiple endings and hidden collectibles.

About For Sale

For Sale is a short first-person horror adventure by Collarpill, released on Steam in January 2025 for Windows and Linux. It is set in 1998 and built to look like horror from the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 years, with handcrafted assets and heavy fog.

You are a real estate agent on what should be just another job: drive out to a house in the woods and take the photos for its listing. A folder holds the floor plan, the key and a checklist of shots for each room. You walk the house with an old digital camera, open drawers, read notes and line up each picture, and every photo takes a moment to load on the little screen.

That waiting is where the fear lives. The house seems ordinary, then details stop adding up and the photos start to show what you did not see. The maker asks you to play it in one sitting with headphones, and players praise the sound design and the slow build of unease over cheap shocks, while one section in a maze is singled out as a real scare.

There are a few codes and puzzles, hidden teddy-bear collectibles, achievements and multiple endings. Players finish in about one to two hours. It suits anyone who likes quiet, atmospheric retro horror with one clever idea.
