What frightens As 18-year-old Noah you agree to house-sit for a local media company boss over a weekend. Alone in the big house at night you check the security camera feeds and the owner's computer, run errands into town, and a growing sense that you are being watched turns into something worse.

Content: uses your microphone, jumpscares.

Fears to Fathom - Carson House is the third episode of the Fears to Fathom horror anthology. Noah Baker takes a weekend house-sitting job for a media company boss and starts to see unsettling things around the house, told as the story of someone who survived.

About Fears to Fathom - Carson House

Carson House is the third episode of Fears to Fathom, the anthology of short horror stories by the solo developer Rayll, released on Steam in January 2023. Like the others, it is presented as a story narrated by the person who lived through it.

Noah, eighteen and bored, accepts an easy job: watch a big house for the weekend while its owner, an executive at a local media company, is away. You explore the house, read texts from the owner, drive into town for groceries, and use the home's security system, a set of camera feeds with a night mode, and an old desktop computer.

The store calls it a narrative walking simulator with exploring, driving and conversation, and the fear comes from realism and patience. The rooms look like real places, the VHS grain makes everything a little unclear, and the camera feeds show corners of the house you are not in. Small wrong details pile up until the night turns.

It suits players who liked the first episode, Home Alone, and anyone who enjoys slow, grounded horror about being alone somewhere unfamiliar.

How to play Fears to Fathom - Carson House

  3. Check the security camera feeds, switching between cameras and night mode.
  4. Drive into town when asked and run your errands.
  5. Watch for anything out of place, and make the choices that keep Noah alive.
