On PC: one of the PC horror games.

What frightens A handyman has one night to pack up, clean and repair the house of the Kowalskis, a family who went missing; he has to follow a list of weird rules so that nothing interrupts his work and solve grim puzzles left by the deranged father, in a world of dusty VHS horror.

Content: jumpscares, flashing and glitch effects.

Creepy Shift: House For Sale is a first-person horror game where you work a night shift as a handyman, getting a missing family's house ready for an investor by dawn. You pack, clean and repair, solve the dead father's grim puzzles and follow a set of weird rules that keep something away.

About Creepy Shift: House For Sale

Creepy Shift: House For Sale is a first-person horror game by Night Shift Team, published by Red Limb Studio. It came out on Steam in April 2025 and on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in June 2026. Its makers say it was inspired by an original creepypasta and built around the 'rules to follow' trope.

The job is simple and well paid: pack up the Kowalskis' belongings, clean the house and do a few repairs so it is ready for sale when the investor arrives in the morning. You have a pack of cigarettes, a buddy on speed dial and cassettes to play. The downsides: the previous family is missing, the area has strange weather, and the house comes with a list of rules. Break one, by leaving the TV on too long for instance, and the screen turns green and something answers.

Between boxes, vacuuming and hammering shutters shut, you solve the grim puzzles the deranged father left behind and earn money for the work you finish. The look is warm and domestic until it glitches into green night-vision and distorted video, with faces on old TV sets.

It suits players who like rule-based night-shift horror and the slow build of a house that is not quite empty, and who enjoyed Late Night Mop or the Fears to Fathom episodes.
