Paranormal Cleanup is an online co-op horror game for one to four players by Manic Mice. As cleaning company employees you tidy up haunted places, from suburban houses to a high school, while ghosts, cult leaders and other entities hunt you, angrier with every job you finish.

About Paranormal Cleanup

Paranormal Cleanup is a multiplayer horror game by Manic Mice, released on Steam for Windows in May 2025. Up to four players take the role of cleaning company employees sent to clean up trash in paranormal locations. The tone is jokey, with the store promising nasty toilets and moldy pizza, but the threat is real: each map has an entity that hunts the crew.

The work is a list of chores: dispose of moldy pizzas, unclog toilets, fix broken sewage pipes, scrub ectoplasm and clean up trash. There are eight locations, among them suburban houses, whole streets, a summer camp and a high school, and item and objective locations and entity events are randomised each time. You earn experience and money to unlock and upgrade perks, gear and outfits.

The horror is in the hunt. Every action you take raises the entity's anger and changes how it behaves, so the more you clean, the more dangerous the place becomes. You have to be smart and stealthy, and hiding in a closet while it passes is part of the game. If you are brave, optional objectives can weaken the entity or even banish it so you can finish in peace. Proximity voice chat means you hear your friends scream across the map.

It suits groups who like Phasmophobia-style co-op horror with a lighter tone and a job to finish, and solo players who want to try it alone. The store warns of flashing lights.

How to play Paranormal Cleanup

Form a crew of up to four online, or start a job alone.
Check the objectives list and find the trash, clogs, broken pipes and ectoplasm on the map.
Clean as you go, knowing that each job raises the entity's anger.
When the entity hunts, break line of sight and hide in a closet until it passes.
Optionally complete the objectives that weaken or banish the entity, then finish the cleanup and get paid.

Tips

Split the chores but keep in voice range; proximity chat tells you where trouble is.
Note where the closets are as soon as you arrive on a map.
Banishing the entity takes work but makes the rest of the job safer.
Spend experience and money on perks and gear between jobs; later maps get harder.
