What frightens A depressed game developer talks to you through his own game, and his intrusive thoughts and dark secrets take over its rooms: messages scrawled in red, an insistence that there is no escape, and the game showing your Steam name, computer username and Discord details. The store warns of mentions of suicide, self-harm, depression and social anxiety.

Content: suicide, self-harm, depression, shows your steam name and computer username.

Pleh is a free, short psychological horror walking simulator about a depressed game developer, his intrusive thoughts and his dark secrets. As you walk through his game, it turns on you and on him, and it can show your own Steam name and computer username.

About Pleh!

Pleh is a free psychological horror walking simulator by Jester Games, released on Steam in 2023. Its title is a word read backwards, and the game begins as a developer's proud, nervous introduction to the thing he has made, then keeps asking whether it is any good, and whether he is.

You walk through spare first-person spaces, plain rooms, grids and pink landscapes, while words on the walls and messages tell the story of the developer, his intrusive thoughts and his secrets. The tone shifts from friendly to hostile: red writing calls him a rude person, the game tells you there is no escape and urges you not to play.

Pleh reaches outside its window. The store says it may display your Steam name, your computer username and, if installed, your Discord information; nothing is collected or uploaded, and a streamer mode stops your computer name from being used.

The maker warns that the game deals with depression, suicide and social anxiety and may not suit everyone. It is short and linear, and a Steam player recommends playing it in one go. It suits players who liked Doki Doki Literature Club or IMSCARED.

How to play Pleh!

  1. Download Pleh free from Steam and turn on streamer mode if you are recording.
  2. Walk through each space and read the words that appear around you.
  3. Follow the developer's voice and messages; the game is linear.
  4. Answer when the game asks you to choose, and keep going to the end.
