What frightens An unknown user writes to you on your phone: on the seventh day thou wilt kill, because each man kills what he loves. Over seven days the stranger threatens your friends, family and ex, and you answer in chat, hack files and solve riddles to find out who it is.

Content: violence, blood, threats against loved ones.

Seven - Deadly Revelation is a horror thriller told through a phone messenger. An unknown user sends you a prophecy that you will kill on the seventh day, and you have seven days of chats, hacked files and riddles to find out who is threatening the people close to you, with your replies deciding who survives.

About Seven - Deadly Revelation

Seven - Deadly Revelation is the first of the Seven chat thrillers by Reality Games, a German studio whose apps are published under SponsorAds GmbH & Co. KG. It came to the App Store in 2019 and has more than a million downloads on Google Play, where it has over 200,000 reviews. Its sequel is Seven: Endgame.

The whole game happens on a phone screen that looks like a messenger app. It starts with a message from an unknown user: on the seventh day thou wilt kill, followed by a photo and the line because each man kills what he loves. Your chat list holds friends, your dad and Mona, an ex who will not let go. Someone among or around them knows far too much, and as the days pass the threats to the people you care about grow.

You play by choosing your replies. Each answer moves your relationship with a character up or down, and the makers say your choices decide how the story goes, how it ends and who survives. Between conversations you hack into images, videos and files in a server mini-game and solve riddles with maps and runes to dig up clues. Optional purchases speed the story up.

It suits players who like Simulacra or text stories like Disharmony and want a slow-building stalker thriller on their own phone rather than monsters and jumpscares.

How to play Seven - Deadly Revelation

  1. Open the chat from the unknown user and read the prophecy.
  2. Answer messages by tapping one of the replies offered; each choice changes how a character feels about you.
  3. Talk to your friends, family and ex to work out who might be behind the threats.
  4. Hack images, videos and files in the apps section to unlock clues.
  5. Solve the riddles to move the story on, and make your choices before the seventh day.

Tips

  • Keep an eye on each contact's relationship status; it affects how they respond later.
