The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is a Korean 2D survival horror game. As student Mina Park you explore a shadow version of Sehwa High and its district at night, scavenging and crafting to stay alive while you hide from Dark Song, a relentless killer who stalks you through the halls.

About The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is the sequel to The Coma: Cutting Class, made by the Korean studio Devespresso Games (now Dvora Studio) and published by Headup. It came to PC in January 2020 and to PlayStation 4, Switch and Xbox One later that year. You do not need the first game to follow it.

Mina Park, a student of Sehwa High, wakes up in her school at night and finds it warped by something dark. Something that looks like her teacher is hunting her. To survive she must leave the school and cross the Sehwa district: its streets, shops and buildings turned into a shadow realm with odd creatures, strangers and uneasy allies. The game is side-on and drawn by hand, with comic panels for its story scenes.

What frightens is the pursuit. Dark Song roams the halls on her own; running and the flashlight make you easier to find, and falling into her grasp can mean instant death. You hide, use mace to break free, and treat wounds that can leave lasting damage. Money and items are scarce, so every trip to a vending machine and every crafted tool matters.

It suits players who like a single, relentless stalker in the line of Alien: Isolation but in 2D, and those who enjoyed Detention's school horror. It has puzzles, exploration that opens up as you find tools, and two endings.

How to play The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters

  1. Explore the school side-on, reading notes and picking up items and money.
  2. Keep your flashlight off and walk where you can; running and light draw Dark Song.
  3. When she comes, get into a hiding spot and pass the challenge that keeps you hidden.
  4. Craft items and buy supplies such as bandages and mace to treat injuries and escape her grasp.
  5. Use the tools you unlock to reach new parts of the Sehwa district and follow the story to its end.

Tips

  • Treat bleeding quickly with a bandage; injuries can stay with Mina if left alone.
  • Keep a mace in a quick slot so you can break free if Dark Song catches you.
  • Learn where hiding spots are before you need them.
  • Some achievements and the second ending need a second run, so do not worry about seeing everything the first time.
