About The Stalked

The Stalked is a short first-person horror game by the solo developer Korvinrular, released on Steam in March 2024. It has since been followed by The Stalked 2 and The Stalked 3.

You play Kate, who has just broken up with her obsessive boyfriend Liam. He does not take it well, and after a struggle she gets away and calls her grandfather, who offers her a place at his mansion in the woods. That is where the story really starts: odd things happen around the house, letters turn up and messages arrive from an unknown number, and Kate has to wonder whether Liam has found her or someone else is involved.

The maker describes it as extremely linear, with an average completion time of 40 to 50 minutes. You move between an apartment, the mansion and a convenience store, call and text other characters on Kate's phone, talk with people you meet and check every dark corner. The horror comes from being watched and pursued by a person rather than a monster, with jump scares along the way.

Players like its tense atmosphere and story for the price, while some find it too short and the scares too easy to see coming. It suits players who want a cheap, under-an-hour thriller with a real-world threat. A free demo is also available.
