About COBB CAN MOVE

COBB CAN MOVE is a top-down survival horror game by abho and Vystel. You control a small white figure trying to get through a run of dark, cramped rooms while Cobb, a large grinning red creature, hunts you. The hook the makers put front and centre is that the rules change: what kept you alive last time may be the thing that gets you caught next time.

It plays in short bursts. A run is broken into a few numbered levels, and the average session on its itch.io page is only a few minutes, so you learn by dying and starting again. The procedural, endless structure means the layout and the twists are not fixed, which keeps you reading each new room instead of memorising a path.

The fear is in the chase and in not knowing the rules. The art is deliberately low-fi pixel work, mostly black with small pools of light, and Cobb's face looms out of the dark at the edges of the screen. Because the terms of survival keep shifting, you stay tense even once you think you know the game.

It suits players who like quick, repeatable scares and roguelike horror more than long story games. It runs right in the browser, and there is also a Windows download on the same page.

How to play COBB CAN MOVE

1. Click into the game frame to start a run.
2. Move your character through the rooms with the arrow keys or WASD.
3. Watch for Cobb and keep away from it; do not try to fight it.
4. Work out what rule this run is using and adjust how you move.
5. Clear each level to reach the next, and start again when you are caught.
