What frightens Behind fixed camera angles you cannot see past, grotesque creatures born of a mad scientist's experiments and occult rituals lurch out of fog-filled streets and blood-soaked rooms; ammo is short, saves cost an item, and every corridor of the mansion-turned-laboratory may hide something worse.
Content: gore, violence, body horror, partial nudity, strong language.
Flesh Made Fear is a fixed-camera survival horror game in the mould of the original Resident Evil trilogy. As an operative of a covert task force, you hunt a deranged former CIA agent through a backwater town and his mansion laboratory, managing scarce supplies against grotesque monsters.
About Flesh Made Fear
Flesh Made Fear is made by Tainted Pact, the solo developer behind Massacre at the Mirage, Suffer the Night and Terror at Oakheart, and published by Assemble Entertainment. It came out on Steam on 31 October 2025 and reached PlayStation 5 in June 2026.
You play an operative of the Reaper Intervention Platoon, R.I.P., sent to stop Victor "The Dripper" Ripper, a brilliant and deranged former CIA agent whose experiments have turned a remote town into a nest of monsters and mind-controlled thralls. Your mission leads into his mansion, now a laboratory, where the occult and the surgical meet.
It plays the way survival horror did on the first PlayStation. The camera is fixed in each room, sometimes switching to rails or following you, so threats appear before you can see them coming. Inventory slots are few, extra items go into safe room storage, and saving uses up a collectible. Puzzles lock the way forward. You choose between two characters: Natalie, with less health and a bigger inventory, or Jack, tougher but with less room to carry things, each with their own story.
It suits players who miss the tension of the original Resident Evil games and want more of it, with heavy gore and body horror. Modern controls are there for those who do not want tank controls.
How to play Flesh Made Fear
- Buy it on Steam or on the PlayStation Store for PS5.
- Choose Natalie for more inventory space or Jack for more health.
- Explore room by room under the fixed cameras, picking up ammo, healing items and keys.
- Solve the puzzles that open locked doors and new parts of the town and mansion.
- Store spare items and save in safe rooms, spending a save item each time.

Tips
- Do not kill everything; dodging monsters often saves ammo you will need later.
- Plan what to carry before leaving a safe room, inventory space runs out fast.
- Save before opening an unknown door, and do not waste save items in quiet areas.
- Try both characters: their stats change how you play and each has its own storyline.
