About Hollowbody

Hollowbody is the work of Headware Games, a one-person studio in the UK, released on Steam and GOG in September 2024 and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in June 2026. It is a short survival horror story made in the image of the early 2000s games of the genre, with full voice acting.

You play Mica, an unlicensed shipper in a dystopian near future. Twelve days ago her partner Sasha flew into the exclusion zone, a ruined British city sealed behind towering walls after a disaster, and never came back. Mica bribes her way in for a two-hour window, but her hover loses power and crashes into the empty streets. From there she has to find Sasha and a way back over the wall.

The game mixes fixed and moving camera angles, logic puzzles and careful use of the few weapons and supplies you find. Save points are spaced to keep the tension up. The creatures are pale, skinless and wrong, the streets are dark and wet, and much of the dread comes from moving through abandoned houses and churches not knowing what waits in the next room.

It suits players who love Silent Hill 2 and the classic Resident Evil games and want something in their spirit with a cyberpunk edge. Difficulty options let players who prefer exploring turn down the fighting, and post-game unlocks reward a second run.

How to play Hollowbody

1. Buy Hollowbody on Steam, GOG, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
2. Explore the exclusion zone as Mica, reading notes and checking your map for routes.
3. Solve the environmental and logic puzzles that block your way.
4. Fight the creatures only when you must, and keep track of every bullet and healing item.
5. Save at the save points you find, and push on to find Sasha and a way out.

Tips

• Avoid fights you do not need; ammunition is limited.
• Check the map often; it marks what you have explored.
• Pick an easier difficulty if you care more for the story and puzzles than combat.
• Read every document; codes and hints for puzzles are in them.
