What frightens A team of prisoners is dropped by a mysterious Warden into the Complex, a decayed underground research facility where gruesome creatures sleep in the dark; light, noise and vibration can wake one, and if one knows you are there, they all do.

Content: gore, violence.

GTFO is a hardcore co-op horror shooter for four players from 10 Chambers. Prisoners of a mysterious Warden, you descend level by level into a decayed underground complex, scavenging resources and sneaking past sleeping creatures until something wakes and the team must hold together to survive.

About GTFO

GTFO was made by 10 Chambers and released on Steam in December 2021. It is built for teams of four prisoners, with bots to fill empty places, and the makers stress that it is best played with people because of the communication it needs.

The Warden, a mysterious entity holding you captive, sends you on Rundowns: series of expeditions deeper into the Complex, a decayed research facility of tunnels, fog-filled chambers and red-lit corridors. You scavenge tools and resources level by level, and before each drop the team picks its gear, boosters and weapons and decides each prisoner's role.

Many creatures sleep in hibernation, and light, noise and vibration can wake these Sleepers, so you move slowly and quietly through the dark. When one notices you, they all do, and the expedition becomes a fight with heavy weapons, sentries and planned kill zones while you hold bottlenecks and reload when you can.

It is difficult and very gory. It suits groups who want tense, coordinated horror shooting, not players looking for a solo story.

How to play GTFO

  1. Buy it on Steam for Windows and gather a team of up to four, or fill gaps with bots.
  2. Before each expedition, choose your gear, boosters and weapons and decide each prisoner's role.
  3. Move slowly and quietly through the Complex so the sleeping creatures stay asleep.
  4. Scavenge tools and resources as you go deeper.
  5. When the creatures wake, hold bottlenecks and set up kill zones together.

Tips

  • Talk constantly with your team; it is built around communication.
  • Keep lights and noise down near sleeping creatures.
  • Plan your loadouts as a team rather than each picking alone.
