About Ice Scream 2: Scary Horror

Ice Scream 2 is the second game in Keplerians' Ice Scream series, released on the App Store in December 2019 and also on Google Play. Rod is back in the neighbourhood, and this time he has frozen your friend Lis with his mysterious power and carried her off in his ice cream van. The store sums up the mood: the sound of the ice cream truck is no longer a happy sound.

It plays in first person on touch controls. You explore creepy locations, uncover what Rod is hiding and solve puzzles to reach Lis, sneaking into his van and hiding when he comes. On Normal you have three lives in each game, and enemies move slowly and hear poorly; harder settings make Rod quicker and sharper. Your other friends from the neighbourhood can help along the way.

The game now holds three stories. Lis' Kidnapping is the original. Charlie's Revenge puts you in the shoes of Charlie, the friend kidnapped in Ice Scream 1, who sets out to get back at Rod and, in what begins as a prank, uncovers secrets from Rod's past. The Missing Guard, Part 2 continues a what-if investigation that runs across Ice Scream 1, 2 and 3. Through the Keplerians Network you can add friends, compare on leaderboards, join events and unlock skins for Rod and the kids, and a paid Premium removes the ads.

Compared with Ice Scream 1 it is the same hide-and-solve formula with a new kidnapping and new places to search, so it is best played after the first. It looks like a spooky cartoon rather than anything gory, and it suits players who like Granny-style hiding with a brighter look.

How to play Ice Scream 2: Scary Horror

Choose a story, such as Lis' Kidnapping, and a difficulty; Normal gives you three lives.
Follow Rod and search each place for items and clues.
Solve the puzzles that open the way to where he keeps Lis.
Hide when Rod comes near and wait for him to move on.
Free Lis and get away before Rod catches you.

Play Ice Scream 1 first: Charlie's Revenge and The Missing Guard continue its stories.
