What frightens You wake up locked in Grandpa's dark house with Granny there too. Granny hears every dropped item and creaking floorboard and comes running, Grandpa is hard of hearing but hits hard if he sees you, and something they keep in the back of the house is another danger.

Content: jumpscares, violence, blood.

The sequel to Granny moves you to Grandpa's house, where both of them now hunt you. You have five days to find the items that open the locked door, or another way out through the sewer, while staying quiet and out of sight.

About Granny: Chapter Two

Granny: Chapter Two is a first-person horror escape game by DVloper, the studio of Dennis Vukanovic, released on the App Store in 2019 and on Steam at the end of that year. It follows Granny: this time you have been moved to the house of Granny's partner, Grandpa, and you wake up dizzy in a damp, dark room.

The main door is covered with different locks. You search the house for the items that open them, carrying one thing at a time and working out what each is for. There is a second way out too: an old, rusty boat in the sewer under the house, which you can try to start before opening the gate.

The two hunters behave differently. Granny hears everything, so a dropped item or a creaking floorboard brings her running, and she sets bear traps around the house. Grandpa barely hears, but if he sees you it is best to run. You can hide under beds or in wardrobes, and two kinds of weapon you can find will stop them for a while, never for good. A creature the two of them adore lives in the back of the house.

Each caught attempt costs you one of five days. There are five difficulty levels, from Extreme down to Practice, where the house is empty of Granny and Grandpa so you can learn the rooms. It suits players who liked the first Granny and want a bigger house and two pursuers to keep track of.

How to play Granny: Chapter Two

  1. Choose a difficulty; start in Practice to learn the house with Granny and Grandpa out of it.
  2. Search the rooms for keys and tools, picking up one item at a time.
  3. Move slowly and avoid dropping things or stepping on creaking boards, which Granny hears.
  4. Hide under a bed or in a wardrobe when one of them comes near, and make sure they do not see you go in.
  5. Open every lock on the main door, or start the boat in the sewer and open the gate, before your five days run out.

Tips

  • Granny reacts to sound and Grandpa to sight, so plan your route around which one is close.
  • Watch the floor for bear traps before you run.
  • Keep a weapon for the moment you are cornered; it only buys you time.
  • Learn where the hiding places are before you need one.

Questions

Is Granny: Chapter Two free?

It is free on the App Store and Google Play, where Google Play notes that it contains ads. The Steam version is paid.

What is the difference from the first Granny?

You are in Grandpa's house instead of Granny's, and Grandpa hunts you too: he hears badly but sees you and hits hard, while Granny still hears every sound.

How do you escape in Granny: Chapter Two?

Either open all the locks on the main door with items found in the house, or start the old boat in the sewer and open the gate.

Can you play without Granny and Grandpa?

Yes. Practice mode leaves you alone in the house to learn it, though the house is not entirely free of danger.
