The closer the Darkness gets, the more intense the sound, with the station's electric shuddering and voices that seem right behind you.

Content: unsettling audio.

Lunar Station is a free 1-bit sci-fi horror puzzle game by Sheeproid, EK-Productions and Aviv Levy, played in the browser. Trapped in Lunar Station 0112B2, you solve Sokoban-style rooms to reach the exit before a creeping Darkness consumes you.

About Lunar Station

Lunar Station was made by a team of three, a developer, an artist and a sound designer, and released free on itch.io in October 2019. It plays in the browser and saves your progress between levels.

Something odd and mysterious has happened in Lunar Station 0112B2, and you are caught in the middle of it. The station is drawn in stark black and white pixel art with flashes of red: a window onto the grey surface of the moon, corridors of crates and machines, red laser barriers and a small astronaut trying to get out.

The oddity has disrupted the station's mechanisms, so parts of it are consumed or blocked. Each room is a puzzle in the Sokoban tradition: push and remove the obstacles in your path and reach the exit as fast as you can, before the Darkness catches up. The sound reacts to you. The closer you are to the Darkness, the more intense it becomes, and the team recommends headphones for the electric shudder of the empty station and voices that seem to come from right behind you.

AlphaBetaGamer called it a very tense and atmospheric blend of sci-fi horror and Sokoban puzzling. It suits puzzle players who want a little dread with their box-pushing.
