What frightens You run a cosy sari-sari store in a Filipino neighbourhood, serving regulars, counting change and catching up on gossip, until the whispers add up to a tragic truth: a desperate act of survival has set off a chain reaction, and the store has been left open both ways. Players single out a startling moment and a plot twist that turns the friendly counter frightening.

Content: a sudden scare.

Narinig Mo Ba? is a short, free psychological horror game disguised as a cosy sari-sari store simulator, made by a Filipino team for a game jam. You serve your neighbours, gather the latest gossip and piece together a tragic, whispered truth, playable in the browser and on touchscreens.

About Narinig Mo Ba?

Narinig Mo Ba? (Did you hear?) was made in about four days by a team of six for the Game Jam Los Baños 2026, and its makers now work as Sealog Studios. It is free to play in the browser on itch.io, and since September 2026 it also runs on phones and tablets. All its art was drawn in-house, and the makers say no generative AI was used.

You run a sari-sari store, the small neighbourhood shop of the Philippines. Customers come to the counter asking for noodles, soap, coffee and soft drinks with joke brand names; you fetch them from the shelves and fridge, count change from the cash drawer, and chat. The dialogue is written in English with Filipino words mixed in, the way people talk there.

It starts out cute and funny. The makers call it a psychological horror game disguised as a cosy store simulator, and the gossip slowly adds up: secrets the neighbourhood hides, a desperate act of survival and a chain reaction it set off. Players write that the ending caught them off guard and that the plot twist and a startling moment gave them chills.

It is short and has no save, so play it in one sitting. It suits players who like games that lower your guard before they turn, and anyone curious about Filipino horror.
